Hi All,

It was great meeting you in class today. I know I threw a lot of information at you pretty quickly, but consider this blog post a quick refresher.

On Thursday, we'll be setting up your class blogs. Please bring your laptops to class, along with your letters of introduction (if you hadn't finished them today), and any notes you took on the reading.

 You need to read the following essay by Stuart Ewen: "Hard Bodies." You can access it below.

We'll be discussing this essay in class on Thursday, and you're required to take 1-2 pages of notes--here are just a sample of the questions you should be keeping in mind: what do you find compelling? what do you find confusing? what do you think the main aim of the piece is?

So. Complete the reading and the free write, and I'll see you on Thursday to set up your class blogs.
